Research

These are two research projects I assisted faculty with during my graduate studies and my internship at Hartwick College's Stevens-German Library.

Native Youth Issues in US and Canada

This research was done as part of a project helping Dr. Robert Benson locate information for an Oxford Bilbiography on issues regarding Native American and Indigenous Canadian youth.  The topic evolved during the course of the research, encompassing four distinct areas.

A Survey of Users and Their Use of Information in Different Languages

This was the result of a term project that required Masters of Information & Library Science students to work with real-life users in order to provide practical experience with digital information retrieval.  It was a valuable, hands-on learning experience that taught students how to work collaboratively with users, how to create a user model, and how to formulate and evolve search strategies.
